Dynamic Inclusion Keynotes

One Unforgettable Experience
One New Connection Can Lead to Infinite Possibilities
Stroke survivor, professional dancer, and Founder of Infinite Flow, a nonprofit and America’s 1st professional wheelchair ballroom dance company, Marisa Hamamoto is on a mission to solve one of the biggest problems facing organizations and communities: How to create a culture where diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity don’t have to be discussed because they are a given.
Inclusion in the work place improves productivity, creativity, and the ability to solve complex problems. Belonging leads to more confidence and better self-esteem, and inclusive societies lead to less poverty and more economic growth.
But, how do you create inclusion?
Marisa’s solution to inclusion is simple: ONE NEW CONNECTION can lead to infinite possibilities, so stay open to developing relationships with new people, whether they are like you or completely different from you.
In her keynotes, Marisa draws on her fight to find belonging as an ethnic minority, stroke survivor, sexual assault survivor, and rejected dancer. But ONE MAGICAL ENCOUNTER with a paraplegic athlete changes everything, and leads her to create Infinite Flow, a nonprofit and a world class dance company with a mission to use dance as a vehicle to inspire inclusivity.
Marisa couples her keynote talk with an unforgettable dance duet with one of her professional wheelchair dance partners or with a troupe of dancers with dancers with and without disabilities from Infinite Flow. Dance is a universal language, and when you are dancing with someone you see beyond race, color, size, age, gender, ability, and disability. Our brains process images 60 times faster than words, and when you see the beauty of inclusion, you believe in its potential and power.
Marisa’s clients include Apple, Facebook, Porsche, Red Bull, Kaiser Permanente, among others. She’s been featured on NBC Today, ABC Good Morning America, Inside Edition, Refinery 29, among many other traditional and digital media, and her videos have been viewed by 60 Million+ people on Facebook alone.
Over the last couple years, “diversity & inclusion” have become buzzwords within many organizations and communities. However, within this trend, disability inclusion and accessibility are oftentimes forgotten or misunderstood. 1 in 5 Americans have a disability, yet people with disabilities are stigmatized more than any other minority group. Marisa’s performances will shift your perceptions on disability, and her keynotes will give your organization a fresh perspective on what it means to build a culture of belonging.
