My parents took me out to my first golfing experience today. My parents (especially Dad) found their passion-hobby Golf a few years ago. Dad is addicted, and goes out practicing his golf every single day! Before golf, Dad never understood why I used to go to ballet class 6-days a week religiously. After 30 minutes of hitting golf-balls, doing the same action over and over again, some good swings and some bad, I started to get impatient, and asked Dad "Don't you get bored doing this everyday for 3-hours." Then he answered back "Well, it's like your Ballet". Hahaha, yes Dad! This reminded me that it takes time, discipline, consistency, and constructive feedback to become good at something, and find the true enjoyment in a sport or art or anything... I hope many of my students are on their way on making dance their life-hobby and passion-hobby, something that they can continue to build upon and enjoy for the rest of their lives... and I am ready for some serious training and upgrade in my own dance skills (ballroom, salsa, tango...), and maybe I will soon enjoy golfing along the way tool Thank you Mom & Dad for taking me out. Merry Christmas to All!!
