Omg I cried & cried & cried watching "Dancing in Jaffa" a documentary film about Pierre Dulane bringing his natinally acclaimed program Dancing Classrooms, which teaches 5th Graders ballroom at schools over a 10 week period, to his birth city Jaffa, Israel. Pierre brings Palestinian-Israeli and Jewish-Israeli children to take frame and dance together, which is unheard of considering the complicated politics of the country. I am moved and touched by Pierre's determination to bring peace and teach kids non-discrimation and equal rights through the power of ballroom dance. I share Pierre's belief that the world would be a better more peaceful place if everyone danced. I am excited and feel honored to be judging for Dancing Classrooms LA next month for the 3rd time. Dear Ballroom dancers in LA, please go see this film. You will be reminded of how much impact we can create through sharing our art.
